Gerard Pique is known for his cerebral defending for Barcelona and the Spanish national team. He is also know as the main antagonist to club rival Real Madrid due to his remarks and jabs on twitter.  If you don't follow soccer, you may even recognize him as Shakira’s husband. We are here to tell you now it’s time to start recognizing him for his business and social capital acumen.

Pique is an entrepreneur at heart and rather than wait until his career is over, he has made tremendous strides to take advantage of his capital both financial and social now.  One of the key catalyst in helping The Players' Tribune expand into the global market specifically Europe and soccer. His new series sheds light on some of the top soccer stars in the world and gives The Player’s Tribune a whole new untapped market. He’s even created sort of a spin off company of his own with “rival” and friend Sergio Ramos, Power to the Players.

Pique is also the owner and founder of Investment group Kosmos as well as co-founder of numerous game development start-ups Kerad Games and eFootball.Pro. You can even write him down as an app developer with his own messaging app, Daybook.

What's best about Pique is that he is not resting on his laurels. After all his good fortune he still pursued his education by completing his Masters from Harvard through the renowned Business Entertainment & Sports program led by Anita Elberse.
