Product Of Your Environment
How Your Teammates Can Make All The Difference In Your Financial Aspirations
Have you ever heard the saying “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” or “Show me your friends and I’ll tell you about yourself” ? Both these quotes reflect how one becomes a product of their environment.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Hakeem Valles, a former NFL player, about the difference a locker room makes when it comes to being diligent with finances. It’s a perfect example of Iron Sharpens Irons, not just on the field but off the field as well. A locker room full of people willing to share knowledge and spread wealth can only serve as a positive for the individuals within that locker room. When we spoke with Hakeem about his time with the Detroit Lions, he started listing a number of different players that were doing amazing things from a frugal athlete perspective. It got us thinking of other teams that exemplify this environment.
